‘Power to the People’ is a phrase taken from an archival photo of Marsha P. Johnson holding a cardboard protest sign. Marsha, a Black trans woman, is widely recognised for throwing the first brick at Stonewall and for helping spearhead the movement that secured many of the rights we in the LGBTQ+ community have today. To this day, we are still indebted to her, and so many others. This piece serves as a small tribute to her legacy.
